I am always on the look out for an amazing camera bag. And this one is looking pretty amazing because it’s small yet you can pack a ton of stuff into it. Nice soft liners for your lenses and Digital SLR.

Having an easy to set up back drop is pretty great I must say! What I have found works great is buying drapes to use as a back drop. They slide on the bar nicely and don’t wrinkle too bad. Even if you don’t want to buy the backdrop stand having some black curtains on hand is nice when you want that solid background. They have the loops on them so they hang nicely pretty much anywhere!. Or if you’re crafty head on over to the fabric store and just buy some fabric. Fold one side over about four inches and sew and walla you have yourself a back drop curtain. Curtains work great!

I think it’s perfect for what I use it for! Taking pictures of my kids usually, but if I am experimenting or taking pictures of whatever it’s nice to have the option of a solid background. Moving the light around trying to get the picture you want with out the sofa in the background is nice!

Neewer Collapsible Light Reflector
I admit I have been buying myself a few too many gifts this holiday season! But when I was putting an order in and saw this Neewer light reflector for only $11.99 I couldn’t resist adding it to the cart!
Last week I took some pictures of the kiddos in the living room while working on our Christmas card. I used a large rectangle cardboard piece of paper to reflect some light back on their face. It worked, but it would keep tipping over or bending in the middle. I just wasn’t connecting with my white piece of cardboard so when I saw this light reflector I just bought it.

Understanding Exposure
I love the way a book feels in my hand. I love curling up on the couch with a cup of tea or a beer depending on the day and the mood. I have accumulated quite a few photography books some not so good some amazing. The ones I pick up at the local library usually make me laugh with the ladies and their big blond hair with colorful leg warmers. But once you get past the 80′s vib the information is still the same. Light still enters our lens and after a certain time we use our shutter speed to take a picture mixed in the ISO and you have a recorded image.
I bought Understanding Exposure by Brayn Peterson 2 years ago. I read the book, but not all the way through. At that time I was trying to figure out the aperture on the triangle, but today I picked it up to read about metering. It is a great book with beautiful pictures. Bryan Peterson is excellent at conveying to the reader exactly how exposure works. He talks about aperture, shutter speed, light and special techniques and filters. Since I bought mine he has newer version of Understanding Exposure that you might want to check out! Would definitely recommend this book to anyone trying to understand exposure!

I have accumulated an odd bunch of them that is for sure. My strangest one was probably a Nintendo bag that I thought would carry one lens perfectly.
