Learn by Doing Photography Assignment #28 – Photographing Butterflies

The hard part is finding a butterfly to photograph…  Even once you’re in position with you camera lens pointed right at the butterfly, they can some how sneak right by you. Leaving you searching, thinking now where did it go. You need a lot of patience for this one.

I was sitting in one of my favorites spots, my parents porch. I could have sat there all morning watching that butterfly. It was early morning and the sun had just come over the mountain. Cup of coffee in one had and lens in the other just waiting for that butterfly to come back. It would jump from one plant to another, but would always come back to the one I was positioned for.

. You might be looking through the lens and it flies away,  When you’re looking through the lens at a butterfly it might take off and you’re standing there scractching your head wondering where did it go this time
