Learn by Doing Photography Assignment #27 – Fireworks!

If you have fireworks going off in your city tonight, you might want to check your camera bag this afternoon! Charge those batteries and make sure you SD cards are formatted and ready…

Items you will want to have tonight…

1. Tripod
2. Cable Release
3. turn off your flash
4. Shoot in Manual
5. lowest ISO
6. Try apertures around f/8 and smaller
7.. Try some shots of Bulb setting. Open before first burst, hold open until burst completes.
8. Look at your composition, do you want to have a silhouette of a tree or a building?
9. Take a look at your pictures on the screen, analyze your first picture, and then try again
9. Take lots of pictures, fireworks are tricky!
10. Have fun!
