Learn by Doing Photography Assignment #7 Seeing in Black and White

This week our challenge is seeing in black and white. One of my favorite exercises I took in a class was to understand how color coverts to black and white. How a red pepper is the same gray as a green pepper. The other exercise I really enjoyed was turning your camera setting to monochrome and only shooting in black and white for an entire week. After a week you will start to see the different tones in color.

This week I headed to Fort Missoula for an afternoon of shooting. There is a museum there as well as a ton of hidden gems around the area to photograph. It was a pretty quiet afternoon, just me and my camera! What a treat!
