Learn by Doing Photography #24 – Panning Photography
This week my kids were awesome as they sat through a photo shoot that consisted of at least 200 pictures. We went for a bike ride and then to the swings as I practiced panning. At first I was panning around 60 seconds on ai servo, trying to lock focus on them and move with them. However the only ones that turned out for me were the ones that I pre-focused where I thought on them where I would take the picture, had the camera on continuous shot and moved myself and the camera as I swayed with the swing. But I didn’t have to think about focus since that was already locked in so I just practiced moving with them.
