Inspirational Low Key Photos

This week’s assignment was the opposite of last week. This week we used exposure compensation to make sure our dark colors were indeed dark colors and not gray. Again this week created the same challenge when it came to finding inspirational photos that used exposure compensation. Since we’re working with keeping our blacks black it seemed fitting to find some Low Key Photographs.

The photos below are all extremely inspiring when it comes to composition and low key photography! Again I am not saying any of these photos used exposure compensation, only saying I love them!  Be sure to follow their links and view some beautiful photography!

What is Low Key Photography? It is a photo that contains mostly dark tones and colors. You don’t just want a dark image you want to use light to selectively create a dramatic image.
