Northwest finds a bit of air… Cough Cough….

For weeks the NW has been under a blanket of smoke from Forrest fires. They come at the end of each summer as does the smoke, but this year it has lingered much longer than normal. Sports have been cancelled, some days recess is indoors all day, outdoor school concert cancelled last night. So when my daughter and I walked out the door this morning to see blue sky directly above us, we cheered. You could look across the valley and see the outline of the mountains. Granted it’s not all gone, but just seeing the blue sky lifted our spirits!

At lunch I took a drive above town to see what it looked like.

This picture was taken on Monday from the same location… Very bad air quality that day!

This picture I dug up from earlier this year when the kids and I drove up to watch the sunset.
