Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS

I think the Canon EF-S 55-250mm is a good lens to own.  If you want to take a step up from your kit lens add a little more zoom in your life, but don’t want to invest tons of money.  I think this is a good lens and you can’t beat the price for only $199.99.

I have this lens, use it and love it. Of course there are better lenses on the market, but for the price I have not a single complaint about it.

As you would expect it is good for the far away scene. I also  like to use it for portraits. With my aperture set to around 5.6, zoom in on that person and you will get a nice portrait!
